One of fifteen jobs former educators actually hold
Training inside a company, on anything the company needs people to know. Often nothing to do with education.
Needs analysis with department leaders, building courses, running the learning platform, and reporting completion. Subjects range from compliance training to leadership development to a new internal system nobody wants to learn.
Much of corporate training exists to satisfy a requirement rather than to change behavior, and you will be asked to build things everyone knows are theater. Budgets get cut first in a downturn. If schools were the meaningful part for you, this is the option that removes it.

Instructional design, facilitation and assessment all transfer cleanly. Managing a room of adults who would rather be working is closer to a middle school classroom than anyone in corporate will admit.
Very reachable from teaching and the widest job market on this list, since every industry has this function. The tradeoff is that you leave education entirely.
You have already run compliance training that adults resented, mandated reporter and Title IX among them, and you have managed the tracking that proves everyone completed the modules. Supervising and evaluating staff maps onto competency models and manager training. Needs analysis with a department head is a school improvement conversation in different vocabulary.
Reachable directly, and the widest job market on the list because every industry has a learning function. Translate your resume out of education vocabulary: write facilitation hours, program design, and staff supervised rather than PLC and walkthrough. A certificate in instructional design or a learning platform helps recruiters who screen on keywords.
Adult learning design, needs analysis, and rolling a program out across sites all carry over. You have managed a professional learning budget, tracked completion and compliance for a state requirement, and run a learning management system. Corporate teams do the same work with a different subject and a different compliance regime.
Rewrite your resume out of education language: say program rollout, stakeholder management, and budget owned, not initiative or professional learning community. Learn the standard corporate vocabulary for onboarding, compliance training, and manager development. Your buying-side experience means little here, since the employer is rarely an education company. Expect to explain district titles in every interview.
Four questions route teachers, school leaders and district office staff to the job that fits.
